| ■Chris Manfredonia | Born and raised in New York city, Chris came out to Durango in 1978 to attend Fort Lewis College where he recieved his degree in skiing and Business Management. In 1984 he started insulating houses, working for a small company called San Juan Insulation. After a year, he acquired the company with friend Jeff Jaeger. After substantial growth and acquiring other insulation and drywall companies, Chris is proud to say San Juan had a record sales year in 2008 of $23 million and employed over 200 people in the four corners area. "Hiring the right people has led to the company's respected position in its market. The company spends a lot of time on human resources to recruit talented and experienced employees from across the country. The interviewing process is described as "massive," but I understand the importance of finding quality personnel in a market that lacks the type of labor force needed." Chris enjoys spending time at the lake boating, waterskiing and surfing with his family Carole, Nicole, Jenna, Ashley and Jim. In the winter he enjoys skiing and traveling. |
